Charles II, All have obverse crowned portrait of King left, crowned with value in Roman numerals behind head. Reverse has quartered shield of arms. All practically as struck with delightful dark pastel tone.
This was the first ever recognized Maundy set of coins and the rarest type in high grade. Lot of 4 coins. PCGS graded Penny MS-62, Twopence graded AU-58; Threepence graded AU-58; Fourpence graded Genuine, AU Detail (Chop Mark, our opinion a counter mark above the crown on the reverse).
