1652 SHILNG Oak Tree Shilling, IN at Bottom -- Graffiti -- PCGS Genuine. VF Details. Noe-12, W-510, Salmon 9a-Fii, High R.6. 70.6 gn. The cud on the lower right tree branch is weak from wear but discernible. The legends and the date are bold. A slight curve in the planchet is a common characteristic of silver pieces struck on a rocker press during this period. The planchet is chipped at IN, obscuring part of the the letters. Otherwise, all legends are fully on the flan and the strike is well-centered. There are several scratches on each side, including the numbers 176 crudely etched into the field above the date.
