Lincoln Cents
1922 1C No D, Strong Reverse, FS-401, AU50 PCGS. Die Pair 2. The 1922 Lincoln cents were all struck at the Denver Mint, but the D mintmark was effaced by polishing (to a greater or lesser degree) on some dies, resulting in the No D and Weak D Guide Book varieties for the date. This impressive AU specimen is from Die Pair 2, with the Strong Reverse, the only universally recognized No D die pair. The well-detailed design elements of this coin show only light wear and the pleasing olive-brown surfaces are lightly abraded.
