Lincoln Cents
1934 1C MS68 Red PCGS. The nation was coming out of the darkest days of the Depression when this Superb Gem 1934 Lincoln cent was struck, one of the few finest survivors of the large production exceeding 219 million coins. The emphasis was on quantity not quality, though, and while even Gems are common, high-end Superb Gems such as this piece are rare. The fine-grained surfaces show not the slightest wrinkle in the fabric, and light red color complements an excellent strike and impeccable preservation. An essential for a fine Registry Set. Population: 18 in 68 Red, 0 finer (7/17).
