1936-D 1C MS67+ Red PCGS. CAC. Little searching is required for those looking to obtain a nice MS67 Red example of the 1936-D. Such coins are very scarce but fairly accessible. Plus-designated Superb Gems, however, are another animal and represent the top-graded coins at PCGS. This copper-orange Denver cent displays lavender hues near the rims and exceptionally clean surfaces. Lincoln's beard and the O in ONE are typically struck, but detail elsewhere is pinpoint-sharp. This is one of only 25 MS67+ Red coins at PCGS with none finer (8/17).
