1916-D 10C VF25 NGC. The Denver Mint employed four die pairs in the striking of 264,000 Mercury dimes during the series' first year. This piece was struck from Die Pair 2, featuring a high mintmark and a reverse rotated clockwise toward 1 o'clock. This important key date representative saw considerable circulation before a sharp-eyed collector spotted it and set it aside. Hints of golden color accents light gray surfaces. Well-detailed with the expected amount of friction and small abrasions.
