Bust Half Dollars
1832 50C Small Letters, O-103, R.1, MS64 NGC. CAC. Shades of peach-gold and blue cover the smooth obverse, while dove-gray, amber-gold, and blue toning appear on the reverse of this attractive O-103 half. The surfaces are brightly lustrous and satiny, with plentiful eye appeal for the near-Gem grade. The variety is known for its recut 5 in the denomination, with a diagnostic die lump in the drapery fold above 18 in the date. Housed in a prior generation NGC holder (pre-barcode) with the early NGC full-width hologram.
