1798 $1 Large Eagle, Knob 9, 5 Vertical Lines, 10 Arrows, B-6, BB-96, R.3, VF20 PCGS. Bowers Die State III-IV; the die crack at the I in AMERICA is present as on die state IV, but the heavier cracks to the left of the date for die state III are not yet formed. BB-96 is a less often seen Knob 9, 5 Vertical Lines variety. This coin is evenly struck and has no visible adjustment marks. The surfaces are uniformly pewter-gray and smooth. Housed in a green label holder.
