1800 $1 B-5, BB-189, R.5 -- Cleaned -- PCGS Genuine. XF Details. Bowers Die State I. Any cleaning was long ago, and this still-appealing early dollar has recovered with steel-blue and tan-gold toning around silver-gray centers. Light marks from circulation are visible with a glass, but strong XF details exist. BB-189 is one of the scarce varieties for 1800. No Uncirculated coins are listed in the Bowers roster of Notable Specimens, and few examples exceed the XF grade.
