1797 1C Reverse of 1797, Stems, S-123, B-12, R.4, MS63 Brown PCGS. Breen Die State III. A crack connects the E in ONE to the T in CENT, and another extends downward into the field from the upper serif of the F in OF. The surfaces are smooth and glossy with uniform chestnut-brown and reddish patina. Some wisps of lavender and green appear when tilted beneath a light. Sharp border dentils frame intricately defined central details. An outstanding Draped Bust type coin from the 1700s. Our EAC grade MS60.
