Proof Lincoln Cents
1969-S 1C -- Major Die Break -- PR65 Cameo ANACS. This 1969-S proof Lincoln cent has a large rim break at the upper right obverse, covering all but the first letter of TRUST. The cud measures approximately 3.5 by 6 mm. The piece has attractive field-to-device contrast with delicate lilac toning on its brilliant orange proof surfaces. The strike is bold, save for characteristic reverse weakness opposite the rim break. Another variety of 1969-S Lincoln cent is known with a major obverse rim break, but this is the only occurrence on a proof.
