1869 2C MS66+ Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. This high-end Premium Gem leans heavily toward the Red side of the Red and Brown color scheme, showing only a hint of chestnut tinting to the satiny copper-orange surfaces. The strike is bold, and a few tiny specks are not distracting. The 1869 two cent piece is a rarity in this grade, regardless of color designation. Brown Premium Gems are almost nonexistent, and full Red examples are extremely rare. Population: 17 in 66 (1 in 66+) Red and Brown, 0 finer; 3 in 66 Red (2 in 66+), 1 finer. CAC: 6 in 66, 0 finer (7/17).
