Mercury Dimes
1916-D 10C XF45 PCGS. The Denver Mint was instructed to focus solely on the production of quarter dollars after November 24, 1916. It managed an output of 264,000 examples of the new Mercury dime before that point. The low mintage famously ranks the 1916-D as the ultimate series key. This Choice XF dime has pale almond-gold elements over silver-gray surfaces. The highest points are slightly worn and thin marks are scattered over each side, but the date and mintmark are boldly impressed.
