1877 20C PR63 PCGS. BF-1. After unsold pieces were melted, the net mintage for 1877 twenty cent pieces is believed to be around 350 pieces, all proofs. The fields show remarkably deep mirroring, evident even through the significant presence of toning. Speckled gray-rose patina deepens several shades around the margins. The strike is pinpoint-sharp with complete details evident even at the top of the eagle's left (facing) wing.
