Early Half Dollars
1794 50C O-101a, T-7, High R.3, Fine 15 PCGS. Tompkins Die State 1/5. This coin is indeed Choice for the Fine 15 grade level, both visually and technically with glossy, attractive surfaces and strongly impressed devices. A halo of deep-gray toning frames the obverse portrait, while both sides of the coin display a faint gold tinge over the silver-gray interiors. The raised elements are universally sharp with moderate wear that minimizes any marks from circulation. An outstanding selection for early type.
