Bust Half Dollars
1809 50C Normal Edge, O-106, R.3, MS64 PCGS. A die crack connects stars 1-7, the usually seen die state. The reverse shows a straight die line protruding up into the wing from the right shield corner. This rose-gray Choice Mint State coin shows occasional glints of blue and gold with excellent mint luster and great eye appeal. A strong strike appears throughout, although several of the obverse stars on the obverse, and the letter tops on the reverse, are drawn toward the rim. No significant abrasions noted. Population (all varieties): 14 in 64 (1 in 64+), 6 finer (7/17).
