Liberty Double Eagles
1852 $20 AU58 PCGS. According to Doug Winter's doubleeaglebook.com, "The 1852 is among the better produced Type One double eagles from any mint. The obverse is usually well detailed with sharp, individually defined hair, strong stars and completely separated denticles. The reverse is also well struck." Such is the case with this nearly Uncirculated 1852 twenty. Friction is hardly apparent, while red and green-gold hues color moderately lustrous, remarkably smooth surfaces. This is a great No Motto type representative.
