Liberty Double Eagles
1893-CC $20 XF45 NGC. CAC. Variety 1-A. Only 18,402 Liberty double eagles were struck at the Carson City Mint in 1893, the final year of coinage operations at the famous Western facility. Fortunately, the issue was well-produced, and high quality specimens are seen more frequently than the small mintage would suggest. This lightly worn, lightly abraded Choice XF specimen retains traces of original mint luster, adding to its considerable eye appeal.
