1793 1C Liberty Cap S-16, B-19, R.6 -- Environmental Damage -- NGC Details. Good. Our EAC grade: sharpness of VG7, net AG3. The 1997 Superior catalog offering this piece provides information about the coin: "two small holes in the central area of the coin have been plugged with such consummate skill that the repair is almost undetectable." In fact, the workmanship was done so well that even NGC failed to detect the repair. This piece combines ebony fields with tan devices.
