1796 1C Reverse of 1797, S-115, B-43, R.3, Fair 2 PCGS. Our EAC grade: sharpness of AG3, net Fair 2. An arcing die crack through the date is still visible despite extensive circulation on this smooth, medium-brown Sheldon-115 example. The Breen Die State is indeterminate due to wear, but it is Die State IV or later with the date cracked. Few marks remain on the well-worn surfaces, which lack any remnants of LIBERTY on the obverse. The reverse is worn smooth on its lower half.
