Large Cents
1800 1C NC-3, B-16, High R.5, Good 6 PCGS. Our EAC grade: sharpness of VG7, net Good 6. Steel-brown surfaces are smooth and somewhat glossy, with lighter brown devices creating an attractive two-tone appearance that is popular with many collectors. Minor marks are noted on each side, so nicely blended that they nearly disappear in the surrounding surface. A small but bold spike from the top of the I in AMERICA identifies this important variety. Noyes considers this piece tied for fourth finest and Bland has the coin tied for fifth finest.
