Morgan Dollars
1899-S $1 MS66+ PCGS. Blushes of golden-orange and violet toning grace the obverse, while the reverse is largely brilliant with traces of similar patination. Blending occurs over Liberty's ear and the eagle's breast feathers, typical of most Morgan dollar issues. Frosty mint luster illuminates each minimally marked side. The 1899-S is elusive in Gem condition and decidedly scarce in Premium Gem. Anything finer than the coin offered here is a prime condition rarity. PCGS reports just 11 submissions finer from a mintage exceeding 2.5 million coins, and there are also two Prooflike coins graded higher (8/17).
