1858 $3 AU53 PCGS. CAC. Several scarce and rare issues came out of Philadelphia in 1858, including the proof-only Seated dollar and the ten dollar gold rarity. Among those rare issues is the three dollar gold piece. This attractive AU example has wispy green toning over its still partially lustrous yellow surfaces. Population: 24 in 53, 47 finer. CAC: 5 in 53, 8 finer (7/17).
