1870 25C Quarter Dollar, Judd-882, Pollock-980, High R.7, PR55 PCGS. A William Barber design, the obverse shows a figure of Liberty seated, facing left, her left hand holding an olive branch, right hand resting on a shield. The reverse is of the regular issue quarter design. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. Sold as part of complete silver sets at the time of issue. Examples of this obverse / reverse die pairing also exist in copper and aluminum. This lightly circulated piece is generally brilliant with subdued reflectivity in the fields. Numerous small abrasions are scattered across each side.
