MACEDON, Akanthos. Circa 430-390 BC. AR Diobol (10mm, 0.88 g). Helmeted head of Athena right; Π before visor / Quadripartite incuse square, ethnic in quarters (very faint). AMNG III/2, 29–30 var. (obv. letter not noted); HGC 3.1, 393 var. (same); Lanz 158, lot 76 var. (Δ before visor). VF, toned, porous and granular surfaces. Extremely rare with letter on obverse.
