Lucius Verus, 161-169. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.42 g, 12 h), Rome, 161-162. IMP L AVREL VERVS AVG Laureate and cuirassed bust of Lucius Verus to right, seen from behind. Rev. PROV DEOR TR P II COS II Providentia standing front, head to left, holding globe in her right hand and cornucopiae with her left. BMC 202-207 var., Cohen 155 var. and RIC 482 var. (all with differing bust type). Very rare with this bust type. Sharply struck and with attractive golden toning. Very light deposits on the reverse, otherwise, virtually as struck.
