THESSALY. Larissa. Circa 356-342 BC. Stater (Silver, 23 mm, 12.24 g, 5 h). Head of the nymph Larissa facing slightly to left, wearing ampyx, pendant earring and necklace. Rev. ΛΑΡΙΣ-ΑΙΩΝ / M Bridled horse walking right. BCD Thessaly I 1159. BCD Thessaly II 306 (same dies). A bold and clear example of excellent style. Struck on a slightly short flan as usual and with very light die rust on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
