Arkadia. Arkadian League. Mantinea. Circa 462-428 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 14 mm, 2.91 g, 7 h). Zeus Lykaios seated to left on throne, holding eagle on his outstretched right hand and scepter with his left. Rev. Α - R -[K - A] Head of Kallisto to right, wearing hair band and pendant necklace. BCD 1460 var. BMFA 1253. Williams 251 b (this coin). Attractively toned, with a seated Zeus of fine style and with a lovely head of Kallisto. Die break to left on the reverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
