Kings of Pergamon. Eumenes I, 263-241 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 31 mm, 16.97 g, 12 h), 255/0-241. Laureate head of Philetairos to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΕΤΑΙΡΟΥ Athena enthroned left, resting left elbow on shield to right, and crowning dynastic name with a wreath held in her right hand; spear in background; to outer left, ivy leaf upwards; in inner left, Α; to right, bow. SNG France 1610. SNG von Aulock 1356. Westermark Group IV. An impressive piece struck in high relief and with a light grey toning. Some minor traces of corrosion, otherwise, extremely fine.
