Lesbos. Mytilene. 521-478 BC. Hekte (Electrum, 11 mm, 2.50 g, 1 h), c. 490-480. Head of a ram to right; below, rooster feeding to left. Rev. Head of bearded Herakles to right, with a line of pellets forming the truncation; all incuse. Bodenstedt 18a/β. Attractive and uncommon. Some minor flan cracks, otherwise, extremely fine.
