GREEK COINS
Ionia. Klazomenai. Circa 370-360 BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 4.04 g, 1 h), Pytheos. Laureate head of Apollo facing, turned slightly to the left, wearing chlamys visible along the neckline. Rev. ΚΛ-Α Swan standing left with open wings; above, ΠΥΘΕΟΣ and monogram. BMC 22. SNG Munich 459 (same dies). Very rare and with an emotional head of Apollo of full late-Classical style. Lightly toned. Off-struck to the right in a dramatic way (in the same manner as the Munich example). Nearly extremely fine.
