Dynasts of Lycia. Mithrapata, circa 390-370 BC. Stater (Silver, 25 mm, 9.79 g, 7 h), Antiphellus, c. 380-375. Forepart of lion with open jaws to right. Rev. Methrapata (in Lycian script). Bearded head of Mithrapata to left; behind, triskeles. BMFA Suppl. 229. Kraay & Hirmer 658 (this coin). Olçay-Mørkholm 66 (dies A3/P5, this coin). SNG Berry 1185. SNG von Aulock 4237. Nicely toned and with an excellent and well-struck portrait of the Dynast. Some areas softly struck, otherwise, extremely fine.
