AVRELIVS CAES - ANTON AVG PII F Bare-headed bust of Marcus Aurelius to right, slight drapery on his far shoulder. Rev. TR POT XIII - COS II / S - C Spes walking to left, holding flower in her right hand and raising the hem of her skirt with her left. Banti 374. BMC 2082 var. Cohen 741. RIC 1348Ab. With an excellent portrait of Marcus in his late 30s; and with an attractive, dark green-brown patina. Reverse with areas of flatness, otherwise, extremely fine.
