Kings of Macedon. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Stater (Gold, 17 mm, 8.57 g, 12 h), Kition, 325-320. Head of Athena right, wearing Corinthian helmet adorned with serpent. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Nike standing left, holding wreath in her right hand and stylis in her left; to left, monogram of ΚΤ. Price 3100. Rare. Obverse lightly struck, otherwise, extremely fine.
