Macedon. Koinon of Period of Nero through Titus, circa 54-81. Assarion (Bronze, 16 mm, 3.25 g, 12 h). Nike advancing to left, holding a wreath with her extended right hand and a palm branch with her left. Rev. ΜΑΚΕΔΟΝΩΝ Macedonian shield. AMNG 230. BMC 89. RPC 1621 (same obverse die). A splendid and unusually sharp example with an attractive brown patina. About extremely fine.
