Traditionally Lugdunum has always been considered to be the mint for these plentiful issues. However since the dies for this coinage were discovered 2004 in excavations of the legionary camp Vindonissa (today's Windisch in the canton Aargau in Switzerland) this must be reconsidered. Evidence points to this issue being minted in diverse legionary camps on the borders of the empire. This new knowledge seems to be disregarded by most auction houses in the description of such coins.
