M. Junius Brutus (Q. Servilius Caepio Brutus). 54 B.C. Fourrée denarius (18 mm, 2.97 g, 12 h). Rome. LIBERTAS behind, head of Libertas right, jewels in hair above forehead / BRVTVS in exergue, the consul L. Junius Brutus walking left between two lictors, each carrying axe over shoulder, preceded by an accensus. Cf. Crawford 433/1; cf. Sydenham 906; cf. Junia 31. Core exposed, small test cut on edge. Very fine.
