THESSALY, Larissa. Circa 450/40-420 BC. AR Drachm (19.5mm, 5.99 g, 12h). The hero Thessalos, with petasos and chlamys hanging around neck, restraining bull right by band held around its head / ΛΑΡ/IΣA, horse prancing right, trailing rein, within incuse square. Lorber, Thessalian 44 (same dies as illustration); BCD Thessaly II 372.3 (same rev. die); HGC 4, 418. VF, toned, granular surfaces, a little off center on reverse.
