HANOVER. George III. 1760-1820. CU Halfpenny (30mm, 13.02 g, 6h). Third issue. Soho (Birmingham) mint. Dated 1799. Laureate, draped, and armored bust right; • on shoulder truncation / Britannia seated left on rock outcropping, shield at side, holding olive branch in extended right hand, cradling trident in left arm; SOHO below shield; to left, ship with five gun ports in incuse sailing right on horizon; 1799 in exergue. Peck 1248; SCBC 3778. UNC, brown with traces of coppery luster some light deposits.
