In the auction catalogue 341 Volker Popp corrected a misidentification as al-Qubba by Lowick and identifieded the mint of al-Qâhira as the castle above Zafâr, erected during the final years of the imam al-Mansûr, without indicating his source. Although a number of castles in the Yaman were named al-Qâhira (e.g. one near Ta'izz and another in Hajja) he was certainly right, as the Ghâyat al-amânî of the 17th century author Yahyâ ibn al-Husayn mentions p. 400 the transfer of timber of a mosque and town demolished by command of this imam in 611 H. to the al-Qâhira of Zafâr.
