This dirham resembles in fabric the dirhams of al-Wâthiq, struck in San'â in 750 H. It may be necessary to consider an earlier date for this al-Mansûr than the dates given in Fuad Ayman Fu'ad Sayyid's lists of rulers of the Yemen p. 407 or alternatively the dirhams of al-Wâthiq, who died only in 793 H. in San'â were struck much later than their date suggests.
