Abbasid, al-Radi (322-329h), dirham, Isbahan 326h, 3.30g (Treadwell Is326, same obverse die), edge faults, fine to good fine and rare. Another dirham of this mint and date was sold by St James's Auctions on 27 June 2016 (lot 251), where the cataloguer noted that this purely Abbasid issue is most unexpected given that dirhams naming 'Ali b. Buwayh were struck there in 323h and 324h. Treadwell, who only had access to a damaged and fragmentary piece, was unable to read the reverse field and so could not identify this as an Abbasid and not a Buwayhid type.
