Leon, Nicaragua, provisional "imitation cob" 2 reales, 1823-P(M)PY, very rare, encapsulated NGC AU 55, ex-Richard Stuart (designated on label). KM-unl; Jara pp. 31-32. 6.65 grams. Boldly struck with light toning and significant underlying luster, only slight high-point rubbing in evidence, full details on both sides except to right of pillars (off flan). A handsome representative of this rare type. NGC #4486419-003. Pedigreed to the Richard Stuart collection.
