Dutch bronze one pounder cannon, late 1600s to early 1700s. 200 lbs+, 49-1/2" long, 2" bore. Large cannon with ornate dolphin "sea monster" lift handles, family crest on breech, and circular ring turnings and cascabel. Excavated at Rotterdam, Netherlands, during construction of a subway system and probably from an original harbor area. Excellent complete condition with heavy green patina.
