1787 FUGIO Fugio Cent, Club Rays, Rounded Ends, VF35 PCGS. N. 4-E, W-6685, R.3. The ray is close to the cinquefoil near 1 of the date, and O is above the second S in BUSINESS. The words WE ARE ONE are punched deeply into the die. This is a generally smooth, walnut-brown example with tan toning on the raised devices. Some small areas of patchy corrosion exists on both sides. An important representative of the Club Rays type, listed on page 90 of the 2018 Guide Book.
