(1800) MEDAL Washington Funeral Urn, White Metal Fine 12 PCGS. Baker-166C, Fuld 1-B, Musante GW-70. This variety has the berry under the H in THE on the obverse. The George Washington Funeral Urn medals were produced by Jacob Perkins mere weeks after the former president's death. They were issued holed and worn around the necks of marchers in the funeral procession held on January 3, 1800 in Boston. This well-worn example struck in white metal retains largely readable legends and clear outlines with little interior detail.
