Lincoln Cents
1909-S 1C VDB MS65 Brown NGC. The 1909-S VDB is enormously popular, due to its low mintage, first year status and the story behind the removal of the VDB initials. It is, perhaps, the most well-known collector date coin in the 20th century. This specimen is worthy of any high-grade collection, being well struck, devoid of significant contact marks, and displaying a pretty coppery-gold color that is just beginning to tone to a light tan. The obverse is occupied by numerous toning freckles.
