Liberty Nickels
1896 5C MS66 PCGS. Tawny iridescence covers the obverse in attractive shades of tan and peach-gold with glimpses of olive and emerald-green. The reverse displays subtly iridescent silver-gray patina. The troublesome ear of corn to the left of the wreath bow notwithstanding, a sharp strike prevails on Liberty's hair, stars, and throughout most of the reverse elements. Abrasions are virtually nonexistent. Neither PCGS nor NGC report any numerically finer examples.
