Early Dimes
1807 10C JR-1, R.2, AU55 NGC. A single die pair is known for the final year of the Heraldic Eagle design. The same reverse was used to strike thousands of quarter eagles, in addition to the reported mintage of 165,000 1807 dimes. Die bulging near ERTY and clash marks throughout indicate a late die state. Central design details are needle-sharp, softening on the stars and reverse legend. Steel-gray and light blue surfaces display flashes of luster.
