Proof Seated Dimes
1881 10C F-103, High R.6, PR67 NGC. Ocean-blue centers are bounded by caramel-gold. Glimpses of lilac-red appear on both sides. Satiny and pristine with reflective fields and a good strike. The rare F-103 was unknown to Awash, and in fact was not reported to Fortin until September 2014. John Dannreuther was the discoverer. He believes that that 50 proofs delivered during the second quarter of 1881 were the F-103 variety. The logotype was entered further right, with an upward slope, relative to the "common" F-101 and F-102 proofs.
